Blood, Guts, and --
Back in the spring of '88, as I was preparing to graduate Hamden High School and various democrats were wrestling for the nomination that eventually went to Mike Dukakis, a certain charismatic candidate from Tennessee stopped in to speak at the Elks Lodge on School Street. I became a public supporter, and so did a whole slew of people in Hamden (or at least it appeared that way after Adam and I were finished with the stack of bumper stickers we grabbed on our way out...)
I still have my Gore '88 campaign pin, and I wouldn't mind one bit if it were off by merely 20 years - in fact, I'd say that's just fine.
Draft Gore!
